• Parking free of charge and without time limit at parking meters on-street and "pay and display" on street parking.
• Exemption from limits on parking times imposed on other users.
• Parking on yellow lines for up to three hours in England and Wales, or without any time limit in Scotland.

The scheme does not apply to off-street car parks such as supermarket or local authority car parks. For more information please visit direct.gov.uk

We get many calls about the VAT status of the vehicles. As a general rule, if the vehicle is purchased for the use of a person who uses a wheelchair, the VAT will be charged at 0% i.e. no VAT will be charged. If the vehicle is purchased for a commercial purpose e.g. Private Hire, Taxis etc. then VAT will be charged on top of our prices shown at 20%.

As general guide please use the maximum internal headroom measurement as a guide to whether you will fit in properly. This is given on the vehicle information. This is the starting point. To check your height while sat in your wheelchair you will need someone to assist you with this. Make sure you are sat comfortably in your wheelchair with your usual cushions etc. Position the wheelchair so the back wheels are parallel to a wall, then lay something flat like a book horizontally across the top of your head. Then measure from the floor to the top of your head. This will give you your floor to head height – this should be less than the internal headroom measurement of the vehicle you are considering. For other measurements, please ring us for the specific vehicle you are interested in.
